چکیده

Writing is one of the four language skills that students and last skill in learning. Even academic field, especially at university level, urgency these very large learning activities, which we know student work requires writing skills, for a thesis dissertation. At tertiary divided into three stages: directed writing, free writing. This research uses descriptive method. The data collection technique document techniques, in-depth interviews participant observation. results this study are; First: Teachers Arabic Language Development Program have conducted an evaluation using portfolio strategy to write obtain information about assignments. teacher / lecturer implements by collecting all during process, contains been checked corrected according notes given. Second: positive factor improve students' ability evaluate themselves can learn from their mistakes be able independent competence. negative factors are problems examination activities parts; timing not right, 'writing understandable, assignments accordance with lecturers' instructions. One obstacles faced determining when collected put containing paper folders, while some folder.
